First Responder & Military Night & Russell Feed and Supply Free Admission Night
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Posse (JCSP) is teaming up with Russell Feed and Supply to bring back Military and First Responder Night with Free Admission on Wednesday June 5th, 2024.
In 2022, the JCSP decided to offer free admission to military and first responders on the first night of the rodeo as a way to give back to our local heroes. God & Country Night
The one thing that always sets rodeo apart from other events is moments we take to honor God and our Country. The JCSP shares this privilege with many other rodeos around the nation, except we try something that’s a little different.
Our friends at Sheppard’s Valley Cowboy Church will be bringing their worship team into the Rodeo Arena at 7:00pm for Praise and Worship before the performance. Their team always brings the most beautiful music and heartfelt messages. We will invite them to bring our invocation during the rodeo as well.

Lime Green Night for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL)
Every Year, the JCSP bring selects an illness or disease to bring awareness to in the area. This year, the posse wants to bring awareness to Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL). We are inviting everyone to wear Lime Green that night to show our support to anyone with NHL.
NHL is a type of cancer that generally develops in the lymph nodes and lymphatic tissue found in organs such as the stomach, intestines or skin. In some cases, NHL involves bone marrow and blood. It isn’t just one disease–it’s actually a diverse group of blood cancers that all arise from lymphocytes (white blood cells that are part of the immune system). Lymphoma cells may develop in just one place or in many sites in the body.
The exact cause of NHL is not known, but there are risk factors that may increase the likelihood of developing the disease. Factors affecting people’s risk of developing NHL have been studied extensively. Some of these factors are immune disorders, medicines, infections, lifestyle, genetics, race, family history and occupational factors. Some risk factors differ by subtype.
